ciddy’s’ rising star

Yusuf Sekatawa a.k.a Ciddy, as he is famously referred to by his young fan base, is a budding hip-hop artist who’s setting out his wings in the hip-hop world. Born in April 1994, Ciddy is in his final year at Green Hill Academy. He is also the only child of his single mother, Jalia Nalumu, who currently lives in the UK.

At his tender age, it is no wonder his interests are mainly rapping, shopping for apple phones, browsing music channels and the cyber space.

Ciddy started his music journey in S.1, albeit reluctantly, as he had very little time between school and music. He later went into serious production in 2010 and debuted his single ‘Let it be’, produced by Polo.

However, he admits that it is Lyrical Proof who gave him his initial contact with the hip hop world when he introduced him to Sam Lamar, with whom he did ‘We Rise’, which was well received by most urban radio stations.
