Usually at the beginning of every year, we take time to acknowledge that one personality in the music industry who wowed us through out the previous year.

We like to take stock. This could either be in their career or personal life.

Although Bobi Wine came a close second for his lavish wedding to long time fiancée Babra Itungo,

which has now made him a role model of sorts to the youths in the country, it is Iryn Namubiru who takes the accolade for the music personality award of the year.

You will also agree that Iryn was outstanding all year through with her hard work and determination that I reckon will uphold her for some time to come. She produced songs that were chart busters all year through right before holding one of the biggest concerts of the year.

She then well-deservedly won the Artist of the Year awards for both the PAM and Diva Awards. Having been a big winner even in 2009, I am sure she looks back with contention at her tremendous performance in the year 2010. To Iryn, we say well done and we wish you a better year ahead.
